Fence Specs
Poles
The poles are extruded T-6063 aluminum, a grade commonly found in the marine industry and built to
withstand natures ever changing seasons. They are one inch in diameter and have a wall thickness
of .063 inches. Added strength and rigidity is achieved with our unique internal Tri-Core™ pole,
designed for us by engineers in 1994.
The extra-strong, marine quality aluminum poles which support Pool Barrier™ fences were
engineered specifically for us with unique TRI-Core construction for added rigidity.
They are force-fitted into non-conductive plastic sleeves embedded in the pool's surrounding deck
surface.
The fencing is available in heights of 48", and 60", meeting every customer's need and all building
codes.
Screws
Special attention is given to the screws. Not a glamorous topic to be sure. We use self-tapping Tek
screws that have been coated with a primer and three coats of liquid ceramic coatings. The final coat
is a color. They are ¼ inch hex head drives for easy assembly. The screws are driven through the
outer diameter of the pole and into the Tri-Core center portion for added strength.
Assembly
Fence sections are assembled precisely, under tension, as they will be when they are installed.
When you install our product you can be 100% certain that each section is on precise 36 inch centers.
Fence sections are free of wrinkles and defects. They will fit tight and straight the first time and every
time.

The Mesh
Pool Barrier, Inc. uses a 10 x 10 weave for strength. This weave uses 10 threads vertically and 10
threads horizontally per square inch. Note that this weave prevents uneven pull and rippling of the fabric.
We use Textilene® mesh fabric for our fences. It is incredibly tough and durable. If cut, it will not tear. It is
specially made for the outdoor furniture industry and treated with ultraviolet stabilizers and mildew
inhibitors to ensure a long outdoor life. It exceeds all ASTM requirements applicable to this type of fence.
Textilene® is fire retardant. It is self-extinguishing when an open flame is removed from the fabric and
does not exhibit any burning afterglow.
Textilene® is mildew resistant. Food and beverages, as well as most other chemical ingredients found
in the average household, just wash away by cleaning with a solution of 1 cup of mild detergent and 1
cup of bleach in three gallons of water.
Textilene® is wear resistant. It does not peel like conventional cloth fabrics, and exhibits excellent
resistance to abrasive mediums such as sand.
Textilene® has tensile retention rated at greater than 95%.
Textilene® is available in several colors.

Powder Coating
Our TriCore Poles are coated with an Aliphatic-urethane Powder Coating, rated "Excellent" for exterior
durability.
Extruded metal parts are given a color coating using our own environmentally friendly powder coating
system. Each extrusion is cleaned and pretreated to ensure a good surface bond. High grade pigment
and resin are electrostatic-ally applied and then baked on to provide an exceptionally durable, high grade
finish that will not chip or fade.
Powder coating ensures a superior metal finish by applying the coating with an electrostatic process that
achieves uniform powder coverage on the most complex products.

Self Closing Gates
We have the only 100% removable, Self-closing, Self-latching gate of its kind. When you leave the
pool, you will not have to worry about trying to remember if you closed and locked the gate before you
allow your children to play in the yard. Now every time you leave the pool, you can rest assured that
the gate will close behind you and LATCH. This gate is sturdy, but yet easy to use and remove. It
takes about 20 minutes to remove the average length fence (i.e., 100 feet) including removal of the
gate. This gate meets or exceeds City and State Code and can even be used in a day-care. The lock
is positioned to allow any adult to unlock it, but still remain out of the reach of children.
Gates are equipped with strong, rust-resistant, safety latches.

Deck Sleeves and Caps
Our sleeves are placed in your decking to provide a superior hold of the fence poles. These inserts are
available in several colors to blend in with your decking or concrete. When we leave we will provide you
with caps that are the same color as the inserts. These caps will cover the holes where the fence
poles are inserted. This provides additional safety and beauty, so when the fence is down, the holes
will be covered and unseen. Our deck sleeves are made of space age polymers designed to withstand
continual outdoor use. They are engineered and made specifically for us and have a ribbed feature
inside and out that gives extra gripping power. This ensures a tight, good looking fence installation.
